The Full-Length Focus: Essential New Projects

6lack – Love Is The New Gangsta

The Atlanta artist undergoes a massive thematic evolution on his fourth studio album. Moving away from the icy, detached, post-breakup moodiness that defined his early career, this 15-track record is a beautifully vulnerable exploration of accountability, healing, and emotional growth. Produced heavily alongside Childish Major, it balances his signature nocturnal R&B textures with an entirely thawed, mature perspective on love and mental health.

Lord Sko & Statik Selektah – Elevator Music

A masterclass in pure, unadulterated East Coast lyricism. Rising New York spitter Lord Sko links up with veteran producer Statik Selektah for a project dripping in soulful boom-bap foundations and jazz loops. Backed by heavy-hitting features from the likes of Ab-Soul, Dave East, Smoke DZA, and B-Real, Sko firmly proves he can stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the best of them.

Errol Eats Everything – Stagga Back

More than a standard remix EP, this project functions as a rich, lyric-driven dialogue rooted in authentic culture. Built primarily on soulful production by Furious Evans alongside Statik Selektah and DJ Crossphada, the project brings together an incredible line-up of respected underground heavyweights including Blu, Brother Ali, Che Noir, and Rome Streetz. The focus track, “Still Don’t Matter None” featuring Brother Ali, sets a beautifully grounded tone that prioritises substance over noise.
